We offer a range of outdoor activities for groups of all sizes and abilities, including coasteering, canyoning, gorgewalking, rock climbing, mountain walking, scrambling, open water swimming, and jumping into deep water. Our experienced guides ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, using the latest safety equipment to ensure a fun and exhilarating adventure.

 

Water-Based Activities: Coasteering, Canyoning, and Gorgewalking
For our water-based activities, you will need to bring along your own swimming gear, shorts to wear outside of the wet suit, and trainers that you don't mind getting wet. We provide all other necessary equipment, including wet suits, buoyancy aids, and safety helmets.

Mountain Activities: Mountain Walking, Scrambling, and Rock ClimbingFor our mountain activities, you'll need to bring along a day sack for your snacks and any additional warm clothing, as well as appropriate footwear. Mountain boots or accent shoes are ideal, but if you're just starting out, a pair of trainers will suffice. If the weather forecast calls for showers, be sure to bring a waterproof coat and trousers to keep you warm and dry throughout the day.

Meeting Points and Locations

We offer flexible meeting points to suit your schedule and needs. Here are the locations for our different activities:

  • Coasteering: Meet at Trearddur Bay on the west coast of Anglesey.

  • Gorge Walking: Meet in the small village of Dolgarog, near Betws-y-Coed and Conwy.

  • Canyoning: We have two venues. For the climbing canyon, meet in the village of Dolgarrog near Conwy and Betws-Y-Coed or Maentwrog near Porthmadog.

  • Mountain Walking: The best meeting points for popular footpaths are the park and ride in Nant Peris or with the local company CK-CABS Ltd / Park & Ride / Snowdonia-Snowdon - Llanberis Taxis. For scrambling and hill walking in the Ogwen Valley, meet at the visitor centre in Cwm Idwal.

Book Your Adventure Today

Are you ready for an unforgettable adventure experience? Active Cymru offers a wide range of exciting water and mountain activities, including coasteering, canyoning, gorge walking, rock climbing, mountain walking, scrambling, open water swimming, and deep-water jumping. No matter your group size or ability, we have something for everyone.

 

Before embarking on your adventure, make sure you have the proper gear for the activity. For water-based activities, bring your swimming gear, shorts to wear outside of the wet suit, and trainers that you don't mind getting wet. We will provide you with a wet suit, buoyancy aid, and safety helmet. For mountain activities, bring a day sack for snacks and any additional warm clothing, and either mountain boots, accent shoes, or trainers. If the weather forecast calls for showers, make sure to bring a waterproof coat and trousers to stay dry and comfortable throughout the day.

 

We meet at 10.00 AM or 2.00 PM at the venue, and directions will be sent by email or text. Our location varies depending on the activity, but we meet at Trearddur Bay for coasteering, Trefriw for gorge walking, Nant Peris for mountain walking, and Cwm Idwal for scrambling and hill walking. After booking confirmation, a Google location link will be sent via email or text. To check availability, simply send us a message with your preferred time and date.

Terms and Conditions:

Booking: To book an activity, you can either use our online booking system or contact us directly.

Cancellation and Refunds: We do not offer refunds for cancellations. Once an activity is booked, we have financial obligations to our instructors and associated expenses. However, if you provide us with sufficient notice, we will make every effort to accommodate you by offering alternative dates or activities.

Safety: The safety of our participants is our top priority. We have implemented stringent safety protocols, and our instructors are experienced and trained to provide a secure environment during our activities. If you have any safety concerns or specific requirements, please communicate them to us in advance, and we will address them accordingly.

Weather Conditions: In the event of very bad (dangerous) weather, we will offer you an alternative activity or date. If neither option is suitable, we will provide an activity voucher for future use.

Participant Information: We require the height and weight of all participants at least 24 hours prior to the activity. This information is crucial to ensure that we bring the correct gear to the activity meeting point. Please email us the required details.

Punctuality: If you anticipate being late for an activity, it is essential to inform your instructor via phone call or text message at the earliest opportunity. Failure to do so may result in the activity starting without you, and no refunds will be given to groups arriving after the arranged meeting time.
